Andy Murray Details Why Delaying Australian Open 2021 By Two Weeks Is The Best-Scenario for Tennis Players Trending News in India

There is still a lot left to unravel in the case of the 2021 Australian Open. With unclear dates and questions about travel arrangements, it has become impossible for players to plan their calendar. Andy Murray, who is confident to leave a mark in the upcoming major tournament, opens up on the scheduling situation.

Initially, the organizers planned that the event will conclude in the first month of the new year itself. However, it is now reported that it will begin from the first day of the second month. While the authorities and governments are fighting to finalize a date, the players remain in question just as the fans.

“It’s obviously tricky for the players”: Andy Murray

In case the reports of Australia starting ‘two-weeks’ late extends to more than the whole year will be affected. The first victim, inevitably, will be the Rotterdam Open in the Netherlands that is scheduled for the 6th of February. As a result of this, the players will get lesser breaks while serving two-week strict quarantine before tournaments.

Andy explained, “It’s obviously tricky for the players. Originally, we planned to go on the 12th or the 13th of December to arrive around the 15th. Then that changed and the kind of latest I’ve heard is that they’ve planned to push it back a couple of weeks, not right up until Indian Wells/Miami time, which is what I think has been suggested by some people.”

Indian Wells Masters and the Miami Open are the two hot events of March. Hence, it is clear that whatever happens Down Under will directly affect the whole 2021 Tour. The former World No. 1 thinks that the best would be the ‘two-weeks’ delay for the players.

“I’ll go as soon as I can”: Murray

Everything is expected to settle down in the coming weeks as the final call will be made on the situation. But, the news of Australia getting delayed is growing stronger by the needle.

Murray continued, “They’re two huge tournaments in March. I think that would be the best-case scenario now if they [put] it back a couple of weeks. That would allow the players to get over there at the beginning of January and prepare properly for the event. I’ll go as soon as I can.”

No matter the dates, some players are excited to participate and win the Grand Slam. Roger Federer and Serena Williams are confirmed to grace Australia; they both are 39 years old. Andy Murray, after a disappointing few seasons, is also optimistic to change the results next year.

Among Us Coming To Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One in 2021, Out on Game Pass for PC Today Trending News in India

No one predicted Among Us to be one of the best games of 2020. Not only has it garnered the attention of thousands of players, but has also established itself as one of the best multiplayer games. Now, Innersloth has announced that Among Us is coming to Xbox Game Pass for Console as well.

The game’s official Twitter account also made this announcement as they celebrated their launch on Game Pass for PC.

This is indeed great news for Xbox users. However, the game is still not announced for the PS5 or PS4. There is a possibility that it could be an Xbox exclusive, or even a timed-exclusive, as it is launching on Xbox via the Game Pass.

However, there is no guarantee if this will happen and things could be different as well. Consequently, PlayStation may even announce the game’s arrival in the coming days.

Among Us’ success is definitely astounding, but the game thoroughly deserves it. Fall Guys enjoyed its spell at the top as a game which may be from a small studio but was incredibly fun. Subsequently, as Among Us started getting attention, it replaced Fall Guys as the ‘little guy’ making it to the big leagues. Clearly, the game does have a lot of potential, and Innersloth could introduce more game modes in the future.

Innersloth had announced that a sequel to the game was no longer happening. However, the sequel may still be on cards in the second half of 2021, which will possibly drive even more growth and engagement for Innersloth. Clearly, the time for small studios to shine has come and they’re taking over, one game at a time.

PRICELESS! Ashleigh Barty Surprises High School Students During the Tough Times Trending News in India

The most thrilling experience for any fan is when they get to interact with their favorite player. Not many get to have this experience but students in Australia just did as they got to meet the current World No. 1 Ashleigh Barty.

2020 has been a terrible year for Australia due to the bush fires, the floods, and the coronavirus pandemic. During such difficult times, a teacher in New South Wales helped her students get through it by citing Ashleigh Barty as an example.

To thank her teacher, a student wrote a letter to Barty asking her to do a video call. The World No. 1 was touched when she read the letter, which is why she did something better – she went down to visit the school.

The teacher was thrilled to meet her and so were her students. They went on to play some tennis with her and they surely enjoyed it. It was a day that they will definitely never forget.

Ashleigh Barty 2021

Playing tennis with Barty was amazing and now, the students in New South Wales are looking to see her play competitive tennis again. The Australian was absent for most of 2020 due to the pandemic. She is now looking forward to the 2021 season which has a lot in store for her.

One of the first events that the World No. 1 is definitely going to play the Australian Open. She has never won the title but hopefully, that will change next year.

Moving on, Barty also has to play the French Open. Due to the ranking system, she has to defend the 2000 points she earned there in 2019. Clearly, there will be a lot of pressure when she plays there and everyone is hoping that she won’t be affected by it.

Former NBA Coach Details How the Washington Wizards Should Handle the John Wall Saga

Former NBA Coach Details How the Washington Wizards Should Handle the John Wall Saga Trending News in India

After patiently waiting for two years, the Washington Wizards decided to give up on John Wall recently. They tried to trade him to the Rockets to get back Russell Westbrook in return. But the deal was never finalized. When he learned about this, Wall reportedly asked for a trade, but GM Tommy Sheppard quashed those rumors.

The Wizards are in a mess now. With the season starting in less than a month, they need to quickly figure out how to clear things up. An unnamed former NBA coach spoke to SB Nation and talked about how the Wizards should handle the situation.

He said that Wall should have a meeting with GM Sheppard, owner Ted Leonsis, and head coach Scott Brooks. “If you want to go, you have to show the league you’re John Wall again,” is what they should tell the disgruntled star. The former coach said that only if Wall can prove himself on the court, will the front office be ready to accept his request to leave.

Can the Washington Wizards avoid further drama in this saga?

The former coach identified Brooks’ role as someone who should be on Wall’s side, and Brooks should therefore not get entangled in this matter. “The coach should be a spectator [in the meeting],” said the former coach. “He needs to be able to walk out of the cabin on Wall’s side and say, ‘let’s show them what you can do.’”

Finally, the coach told SB Nation that the rest of the team doesn’t have to be briefed about these updates. He said, “What’s important is being able to work with Wall. With the other guys, you do what you would normally do.”

The Wizards are already coming off an unimpressive Free Agency. They signed Raul Neto, two undrafted free agents, and re-signed Garrison Matthews. So keeping Wall, for now, is a wise move. And if he really wants to leave,  getting the best value out of him is a must for them.

It will be tough, but if they cannot get equal value out of a trade, it will set the Wizards back a couple of years again, and they will have to restart a rebuild.
