Former Lakers’ Teammate Danny Green Reacts to LeBron James’ Heart Touching Farewell

Former Lakers' Teammate Danny Green Reacts to LeBron James' Heart Touching Farewell Trending News in India

The former NBA Champions are in the middle of changing their roster to ensure a chance at another title next season. In the last few days, they have let go of Quinn Cook and traded away Danny Green. However, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar, LeBron James, took to Twitter to thank the two for everything they have done for the team.

After two years with the Golden State Warriors, Cook signed with the Lakers as a free agent in the 2019 offseason. He was hoping to acquire a full-time position with the Lakers as their backup point guard. But after an unsuccessful season for Cook where he spent most of the time on the bench, the Lakers were just not convinced.

Cook averaged only 5.1 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assist per game and came off the bench for only 24 minutes in total during the Lakers run in the postseason.

On the other hand, there could have been many reasons behind trading Danny Green. As the Lakers might lose their veteran point guard, Rajon Rondo, in free agency, they needed a third-scoring option behind LeBron and Anthony Davis. Therefore, they have brought in Dennis Schroder.

LeBron James thanks his former Lakers’ teammates

Although Cook was an enormous part of the Lakers last season, Danny was one of the starters in almost every game. But now that these two are officially not a part of the team, LeBron James couldn’t help but send a heartfelt message to both of them.

On Twitter, LeBron wrote, Would NOT have won that trophy without them both. Thank you and love! By the way I’ll see y’all in person soon anyways. Lol.”

Danny Green reciprocated this love and respect from LeBron and replied, Always Love Brodie ! #brother4Life”

The Lakers don’t have too much to worry about. As long as they have LeBron and Davis, they are still in the mix for an NBA title. They were looking for a ball-handler for when LeBron is on the bench and now they have Dennis Schroder.

With free agency just around the corner, it will be interesting to see what choices the Lakers make to better their chances at the title.

New York Knicks’ Latest Signing Austin Rivers Pens an Emotional Message for Houston Rockets

New York Knicks’ Latest Signing Austin Rivers Pens an Emotional Message for Houston Rockets Trending News in India

The New York Knicks’ off-season has been underwhelming, to say the least. They had a cap space of $109.14 million, and that is significantly higher than most teams in the NBA.

Even with such a big salary cap, they still couldn’t make any star signings. But the Knicks have been busy this off-season and have already brought in center Nerlens Noel and re-signed Elfrid Payton.

Recently, reports emerged that the Knicks had signed Rockets backup point guard Austin Rivers in a three-year deal worth $10 million. Rivers seemed excited to join the Knicks and tweeted, “Beyond excited for this. Knicks! NYC! Grateful!”

The 28-year-old also thanked the Houston Rockets and tweeted, “Appreciated my time in Houston. Truly amazing experience. Loved the city and the people. Thank you for having my and family.”

Rivers came off the bench in the Rockets and averaged 8.8 points in 23.4 minutes per game last season. The No. 10 overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft will now be joining the fifth team in the NBA.

Over the years Rivers has turned himself into a capable ball-handler and a good pick-and-roll player. In the Knicks he will be a backup to the recently re-signed Elfrid Payton.

What can one expect from the New York Knicks?

The Knicks haven’t made any big money moves till now. They are currently in no place to lure a star to their team any time soon. They may have enough cap space, but it won’t be enough to bring in a star.

The New York based side could have gone for a proper rebuild and brought in some quality veterans to the side. However, they have made many underwhelming moves till now.

The Knicks have signed center Nerlens Noel, who is a decent player. Apart from that they have added small forward Alec Burks who had a great 2019-20 season and can add some attacking threat to the side.

To fill the roster they have brought in Omari Spellman, Jacob Evans, and a future second-round pick from the Timberwolves in exchange of Ed Davis.

The Knicks are not looking like a side that will come anywhere near the playoffs. There are certain additions like Burks who are good, and the team might improve on last season’s record.

The younger players in the Knicks need to step up. Until and unless one of their draft picks turns into a great player, fans won’t be seeing a star like Giannis Antetokounmpo in the New York Knicks.

“The Only Profitable Org”- TSM President Compares TSM to 100 Thieves

"The Only Profitable Org"- TSM President Compares TSM to 100 Thieves Trending News in India

There has always been tremendous competition among eSports organizations, not just in terms of leading in popular games, but also in terms of being a successful business. Currently, Cloud 9, Team Liquid, TSM, and 100 Thieves are in the upper echelons of the eSports world.

Recently, the president of TSM, Leena Xu, gave a fierce comeback to a person who compared her organization to that of 100 Thieves on Instagram.

“In 2 years look what 100 Thieves has done meanwhile TSM has fallen behind everyone under your leadership but keep modeling.”

Now, a comment like this would infuriate anyone. Moreover, Leena has done her bit for the organization, and it is one of the very best in the scene right now. Her organization has been one of the leading names in almost every major eSport title out there. She retaliated with a confident comeback to the comment saying, “TSM is the only profitable org.” However, she also made it a point to state that although she is comparing the success of 100T and TSM, NadeShot (100 Thieves co-owner) is her friend.

TSM President Leena Xu fiercely defends her organization in a comment box to-and-fro on Instagram

It is perhaps because of this that she has had to remove her comment. In her comments, she fiercely defended her organization while boasting of her team’s exploits over that of 100 Thieves.

In one of her comments, she said:

“Look at their (100 Thieves) then look at ours, look at their FN division the look at ours, look at their Apex/R6/Smash/influencer division then look at ours. Nade is my friend and yeah they have sick merch but just compare everything. Also our facility is opening later this year and you can compare that too.

The facility in question is the latest $50M facility built for her organization. She dropped a video of it soon after 100 Thieves had unveiled theirs which cost around $35M.

There is minimal doubt about Leena’s leadership in her organization. She has done her part in enriching most of the rosters. However, straight up claiming her organization to be “the only profitable org” probably went a bit too far.

“I’m Not Going to Take This S***” – Bob Arum Unwilling to Change His Stance on Terence Crawford

"I'm Not Going to Take This S***" - Bob Arum Unwilling to Change His Stance on Terence Crawford Trending News in India

The ongoing tussle between Top Rank CEO Bob Arum and one of his finest prodigies, Terence Crawford continues as the former isn’t repenting on the comments he made a few days back.

Arum, 88, ashed out Crawford and demeaned his PPV abilities. Although ‘Bud’ defended his title spectacularly against Kell Brook, Bob Arum still wanted him to leave Top Rank.

That said, the veteran promoter has claimed that Crawford lacks the potential to grab attention. Not only that, but Arum has said that he has lost so much money that he could have purchased a Beverly Hills abode instead. It seems that the 88-year-old is done with ‘Bud’ and doesn’t want to invest more in him.

However, his recent comments have sparked a lot of controversies in the combat community. From the UFC president Dana White to Matchroom CEO Eddie Hearn, several people have ridiculed him. Dana White took a step further by tagging him as a “little bi***”.

Bob Arum appears unaffected by those comments. He still stands by his remarks and claims to be unbothered by his critics. In a chat with Boxing Scene, he shed light on the whole situation and said, “I don’t give a sh-t.”

He added, “I don’t care because what (the Crawford camp) did was reprehensible. The lawyer sent a letter to us. OK, that’s fine. That’s what lawyers do. But you don’t release it to the press. All of this should have been behind closed doors like what men do. I’m not going to take this sh-t. I’m just not going to do it, because the truth is I’ve lost money with this guy.”

Bob Arum poses his problems with Terence Crawford

Arum has been in the fight business for decades and is seemingly one of the finest to do so. Despite that, he is known for his loud mouth and trash-talking abilities. In this particular case, Arum is keeping a similar stance by denouncing Crawford’s management.

Firstly, the ‘Bob father’ has clarified of being offended after Terence Crawford’s team leaked the details of their contract to the media. Then he accused the WBO champion of holding the contract, which subsequently affected Top Rank from promoting the fight between Vasyl Lomachenko and Teofimo Lopez.

Arum said, “I’m being serious. I turned the whole project of Crawford over to (Top Rank president and Arum stepson) Todd (duBoef). I washed my hands of it. I’m too emotional about it.  There was this last kerfuffle with the Brook fight when he didn’t sign the contracts so we couldn’t promote on (the) Lomachenko-Lopez (telecast). I have long since departed working with Crawford.”

He added, “We kept telling them sign the f–king contract because what they were up to was to start promoting it, not have a signed contract and start a renegotiation. I want a signed contract. They had it for two weeks. If it was up to me, I couldn’t handle it (another Crawford fight). I’m too old to handle this. I’ve taken it off my agenda. Whatever Todd wants to do.”

If Crawford leaves Top Rank, he can enter into several other A-listed promotions, likely the PBC. It will further smoothen his way to bag a fight with Errol Spence Jr, or any other A-listers like Manny Pacquiao.
